Rives Valuation Services Inc. dba: Appraisal Shop was established in January 2002 with a mission to provide a variety of high-quality residential valuation services in the Austin area emphasizing local expertise and integrity in the appraisal field.
 
Doug Rives was employed by Advantage Appraisal Services in Austin, Texas, from 1997 until 2002. Mr. Rives is also a licensed Texas real estate broker with more than ten years of experience in real estate sales and investments.
 
In 2001, Doug began training with a commercial appraisal firm, James Brown and Associates in Salem, Oregon, eventually earning general certification and gaining commercial experience appraising assisted-living facilities throughout the western portion of the United States.
 
In 2005, Douglas Michael Baker joined Rives Valuation Services Inc. dba: Appraisal Shop as the residential appraisal manager, bringing additional experience, insight and clients to the company. Since that time, Rives Valuation Services Inc. dba: Appraisal Shop has performed more than 1000 appraisals per year for clients throughout the nation.
 
Rives Valuation Services Inc. dba: Appraisal Shop is based in Austin, Texas, and maintains a minimum of four licensed and / or certified appraisers on staff. In addition, we employ an office manager, support staff and appraiser trainees. Rives Valuation Services Inc. dba: Appraisal Shop is located at 2211 East 12th Street, Austin, Texas 78702.
